Man with ideas, allow me to give you a suggestion culled from the world of business. Many an entrepeneur (did I spell that damnable word right?) has gotten a great idea, but not been able to put it into action. The creative side of any project and the nuts-and-bolts/write it down/plot it out/argue with the lighting union- side require two different parts of the brain, and few people are really good at both. The solution: They found people to help them! You ought to see if you can find someone who can help you put your ideas into concrete form. I've seen posts on other forums from folk who wanted to write a script and get a project started, but couldn't come up with any ideas! This kind of collaboration has its ups and downs, but it worked for Thomas Edison. Good luck!

ah do you come from the UK? Digitiser is a television based text service that has run from the early 90's on channel four - and its for young people to bitch on, mainly about music and computer games... it just that their 'catch phrase' is "you've messed up" -- said when people like me and hairbrain here talk shit

Hey "Idea Man". I've been workin on movies in various ways for about 10 years now. When I moved to Austin, Texas I immediately found all the phone #'s I could for anything Film/movie related, and called them all to see what was going on around town. The one # that really helped was the "film commision" hotline. Every week they update it with whatever is in production or pre-production. I called all of the production office #'s asking what jobs were available and most of them wanted experienced people so then I said I'd work for free and that's what did it. The next day I showed up at the hotel the crew was staying at and met the "key" grip on this shoot and I was in. I met all the crew and thru them I met others and so on. They actually wound up giving me a few hundred $ at the end and some good connections. Now I'm workin at a high end FX studio and it's all because I busted my ass for free and made it look like I enjoyed it...I actually did enjoy most of it. The hours are killers of course.
